Courtney enters 2017 as co-host of The J. Anthony Brown Radio Show. After 20 years on The Tom Joyner Morning Show, J. Anthony Brown has departed and chosen Courtney as his co-pilot on his own radio show where they count down the countries Top 10 hits & entertain with funny, colorful segments.
In October 2016, Courtney guest starred on the TV show, "Adam Ruins Everything" on TruTV.
Courtney opened for Martin Lawrence, a comedic idol of hers during his recent comeback. She also performed on her 1st Netflix taping at the Gala Theater in Washington, D.C. That same month Courtney was a guest on the TV show "NewsOne Now with Roland Martin". Courtney has been a guest host on the talk show “The Real” as well as a guest star in the web series “Southern Dish” where she recently hosted its premiere at SXSW in Austin, TX.
In addition, Courtney plays “Chantelle” in the TV pilot “Timid Pimps” and “Tish” in the movie “How Not to Propose”. Courtney is also busy writing on the recently green-lit animation “The Slimbones” and was in the season 2 premiere of Jim Jefferies show “Legit” airing on the FXX channel.
Courtney made her standup television debut May 2013 headlining an episode of "Stand Up and Deliver" airing on Jennifer Lopez’s cable network NUVOtv. She is no stranger to hitting comedy clubs from Vegas to New York and anywhere in between. Courtney regularly performs in Los Angeles at The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, The Improv, Flappers, The Ice House and many other venues. She's even performed in Africa!
GQ (Gentleman’s Quarterly) Magazine named Courtney “The Next Big Thing” in its Hollywood Issue. Comedian J. Anthony Brown, owner and operator of The J Spot Comedy Club in Los Angeles, California, honored her with the Spotlight Award for Outstanding Performance & Contribution to the Comedy Industry in May 2009 just a year after starting her standup career.
